Milos the silent leader
Serbia is a beautiful country for a nice holiday. According to me the region of Vojvodina is the best place you can visit in Serbia. This region is located in the north of Serbia and its regional capital is the city of Novi Sad.
Milos Cuk was born here and from this city he also started his waterpolo career.
Who is Milos Cuk? Well, he is a great waterpolo player, who is famous all around the world as we know.
Milos played as VK Partizan player for 5 years. He was the captain of VK Partizan during his fifth and last waterpolo season, which was the 2013/2014 season. Unfortunately, he was the captain of VK Partizan only for a waterpolo season, but I will remember it forever.
Milos decided to leave VK Partizan for going to play in Hungary. He decided to start a new waterpolo experience, wearing ZF-Eger cup.
Nowadays Milos is still a ZF-Eger player, but we can’t forget his past as VK Partizan player.
He arrived in Banjica, coming from VK Vojvodina Novi Sad, which is the local waterpolo team of the city of Novi Sad.
The funny thing is that Milos didn’t catch my attention at once, but I needed more time for understanding what type of player he was.
At that time VK Partizan had a fantastic team, in which Milos had not always been mentioned because the press cared about other players, not paying enough attention to him. He made the difference through his great performances, his great goals in several matches, where everything seemed to be finished. Milos has always had that talent of surprising everyone thanks to few elements.
I like to call him “The Silent Leader” because of his silent leadership, which has always helped the team during several difficult situations.
He did always his best in order to help VK Partizan to reach the victory in every match he played. He helped VK Partizan through his silent and efficient leadership without any signal of tension or anger.
A good example of his silent and efficient leadership can be the semifinal match of the Serbian European Championships, where Serbia needed to play a great match against Montenegro in order to reach the final. Serbia didn’t start so well, showing a bad waterpolo. Serbia was in trouble till Milos scored the seventh serbian goal, which broke through Serbia. His goal helped Serbia to wake itself up and to find the right solution in order to win the match.
When he was a VK Partizan player, he weared the number seven cup, which is also my favourite number always.
Nowadays he continues to wear this number cup in Hungary, playing as ZF-Eger player.
He weared the number seven cup in Banjica.
He wears the number seven cup in Hungary right now, but when he plays in his national team, he wears the number five cup.
The most important characteristics of Milos’s playing have always been his strong shot and his silent leadership, which have always been so decisive in every match he played. I have always liked these two characteristics of Milos because it is so difficult to find them in a waterpolo player profile.
Milos plays in ZF-Eger in order to add as much trophies as he can in his waterpolo career, showing his big talent in every Hungarian swimming pool he goes.
When he left VK Partizan, it was a shock for me, because he was one of my favourite players of VK Partizan. When you see your favourite player going away is always something difficult to accept at once.
You would get angry with him because he is leaving your team, but I have never done it with Milos. I accepted his decision to go to play in Hungary, even if it’s so bad not to see him playing in Banjica no more. I decided to continue to follow him in his new Hungarian experience.
Milos doesn’t play in Banjica any more, but a change can’t compromise the support for an athlete.
Milos has said that he will come back one day and I know he will keep the promise. I trust him, because Milos has never disappointed me.
He has made a promise and he will come back in Banjica. When that moment will arrive, I will be there, greeting him with lot of enthusiasm.
I know the region of Vojvodina and the city of Novi Sad thanks to Milos. I have started to take an interest in the region of Vojvodina and the city of Novi Sad thanks to Milos.
Milos has gone to play in Hungary, but he has given to me this big love for his city of Novi Sad.
If I will go to visit Serbia one day, my first stop will be in Novi Sad, where this silent leader was born.
Milos has also been the last captain of VK Partizan, who I liked and supported with lot of enthusiasm. When I think about the ideal VK Partizan captain, I think about the face of Milos.
Milos has been the best VK Partizan captain, even if everything happened only for one season. I would like to see him in Banjica again in order to help VK Partizan for coming back, where it has to stay.
The band captain is waiting for him, because only Milos knows how a VK Partizan captain has to be.
I would also like to say that Milos is an athlete, who you can know little by little.
He is a type of player, who you have to see many times for understanding his characteristics as a player.
You can understand him, plucking him as he would be a daisy. Every petal contains an information of him, but when you have plucked the whole daisy, you will know who Milos is.
Milos is the proof that a silent leadership can be very important and decisive in a sport like waterpolo, where the stage is dominating from who speaks always out loud.
